Below are the possible errors for Brio 650 and their basic troubleshooting steps:

Error

(Er:SpArk)

Causes

• Dirty filter components (most common)

• Broken filter components (rare) – e.g., broken particle charger wires

• Other manufacturing defects (rare)

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Clean the Pre-Filter 

a. Remove and inspect for dust or debris. 

b. Wipe with dry or damp microfiber cloth. 

c. If very dirty, rinse with water and dry completely.  

d. Reinstall and power on. If error persists, go to Step 2.

2. Clean the Particle Charger 

a. Remove and gently wipe with microfiber cloth.  

b. For persistent residue, use damp cloth and allow

     to dry fully.  

c. Reinstall and power on. If error persists, go to Step 3.

3. Clean the APART Collection Cartridge  

a. Pull APART Case using blue handle.  

b. Remove APART collection cartridge.  

c. Remove large debris (hair, insects, etc.).  

d. Wipe underside of APART case.  

e. Replace cartridge and case, reinstall panel. 

 f. Power on. If error persists, go to Step 4.

4. Replace the APART Collection Cartridge 

 a. Order and install new cartridge. 

 b. If error persists, contact customer support.

Error

O3 Filter (Er:O3 FiltEr)

Causes

• Refresh Plus Filter not installed properly (most common)

• Refresh Plus Filter missing (rare)

• Refresh Plus Safety Switch damaged or other manufacturing defect (rare)

Troubleshooting Steps

• Open door panel and remove Refresh Plus Filter tray.

• Inspect filter for damage or debris.

• Remove filter media (black honeycomb with foam border) and reinstall.

• If media is missing, insert new Refresh Plus Filter media.

• Reinstall panel and power on.

• If error reappears, contact customer support.

Error

Reset (Er:RESEt)

Causes

• Another error has been cleared and unit needs reset (e.g., O3 filter switch not properly actuated)

Troubleshooting Steps

• Reset by opening the door panel or unplugging unit for 5 seconds.

• Plug back in or reinstall door.

• If initial error displays (e.g., Er:O3 FiltEr), follow troubleshooting for that specific error.

• Contact customer support if reset error remains.

Error

Fan

(Er:FAn)

Causes

• Motor fuse fried (rare) – usually if unit was running fine before; may be caused by faulty motor, power supply, control board

• Motor unplugged (rare) – if unit never ran fine out of the box

Troubleshooting Steps

• Reset by opening door panel or unplugging unit for 5 seconds.

• Plug back in or reinstall door.

• If error persists, contact customer support.
